This was a grant-funded partnership with the city of Coburg, with substantial portions of the labor provided by volunteer alumni of the youth construction program I taught (through Northwest Youth Corps) as well as an AmeriCorps crew.
We created an information kiosk right in the center of town, celebrating traditional 1930’s era timber framing and stonework –evocative of the work done by craftsmen all over the pacific northwest– for the post-depression Civilian Conservation Corps.
